The Voice Australia draws singers from all walks of life and one aspiring star of The Voice has a fascinating backstory.

Professional jockey Robbie Dolan moved to Australia from Ireland in 2016, but when the 26-year-old stepped onto The Voice stage, all bets were off. The multiple Group-1-winning jockey, who had no professional singing training, admits: “I don’t know anything technical about music, but I’ve always been singing in the car, on the way to the races and in the shower.

“I’m not too sure if I can even sing well enough for something like this. I just know that I love singing, it’s definitely from the heart.”

But Robbie’s incredible rendition of James Bay’s Let It Go stunned superstar coaches Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy – proving this jockey had true talent off the track.

Dolan will release his own music by the end of the year and we are so pleased to be a part of the next stage of his career.
