Saverio “Sav” Rocca is a rare dual-sport success story, achieving elite careers in both the Australian Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL). Known for his powerful kicking and longevity at the highest level of sport, Rocca’s journey from Australian rules football to American football is one of determination, adaptability, and high performance.

Rocca began his professional sporting career in the AFL, playing for Collingwood Football Club and later North Melbourne Football Club. Across more than a decade in the AFL he played 257 games and kicked 748 goals, establishing himself as one of the competition’s most reliable and prolific forwards.

After retiring from AFL football, Rocca made the remarkable transition to American football, becoming a punter in the NFL. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins (now the Washington Commanders), competing against some of the best athletes in the world and showcasing his exceptional kicking ability on a global stage.
