Jacqui Cooper is one of Australia’s most decorated athletes and the greatest aerial skier of all time. Over a career spanning more than two decades, Jacqui represented Australia in five Winter Olympic Games – the first Australian woman in history (summer or winter) to do so.
Her achievements on the world stage are unmatched: five World Titles, 39 World Cup medals, 24 World Cup wins, and three major World Championship medals. These records cement her legacy as one of the most successful athletes in international freestyle skiing history.
Jacqui’s career was also defined by resilience. She overcame countless injuries – including knee, elbow, shoulder, hip reconstructions, and even a broken back – to return stronger each time. Her courageous fifth-place finish at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, after months in a wheelchair, remains one of the most inspiring stories in Australian sport.
