Andrew Rule is one of Australia’s most accomplished journalists and storytellers, celebrated for his compelling investigations and ability to bring some of the nation’s most fascinating stories to life.

He wrote and narrated A Death in the Family, the acclaimed documentary on the Tanner case that won a Logie Award and was a finalist at the Australian Film Institute Awards. His career began in country newspapers before he became a leading journalist for The Age, The Herald, The Sun, The Sunday Age and Good Weekend magazine. In 2007, Andrew was appointed Deputy Editor of The Sunday Age and later joined the Herald Sun as *Writer-at-Large in 2011, where he continues to craft powerful narratives that resonate across Australia.

Andrew has won numerous national journalism awards, including being named Australian Journalist of the Year – and he jokingly claims to be the only recipient of that honour to have ridden the winner of a horse race!

A bestselling author, Andrew has written extensively on crime and racing, including a critically acclaimed biography of champion racehorse Winx. He describes her impact with reverence:
