About Sally
Sally Browne is a walking example of ‘don’t just dream it, do it’. From humble beginnings, to designing high fashion, and on to high altitude adventures, from taking to the stage as a washboard player with a jazz band to strutting the stage as a keynote speaker, from being a stressed out working mum of four to developing the first heart rate monitor to measure stress, and from community worker and philanthropist to mentor and nurturer for young business people.
Her Mastery and the Mind project involved living completely different lives for 28 days each. For example living (in turns) creatively, adventurously, compassionately, dangerously, spiritually and so forth. The project has taken Sally to all corners of the world, climbing in the Everest region, summiting Mt Kilimanjaro, living with a Masai Mara tribe, exploring happiness in Bhutan, experiencing spirituality throughout India and in Ashrams, walking across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, visiting Mandela’s jail and Gandhi’s house, studying the effect of meditation on the mind with Thich Nhat Hanh in Plum Village, France, partaking in a drawing Marathon (with real artists), and generally pushing the envelope of life whenever the opportunity has arisen.
Sally was a co-founder of ‘Women in High Heels’, a group of high profile businesswomen with a social conscience. Women in High Heels’ successful major protest was to stop the mining of Uranium in Kakadu, the source of food and water for the Mirrar people . Sally believes, through these projects, adventures and experiences, that we can achieve what ever we fully commit ourselves to. It may not be at an Olympiad level, but with dedication, focus and preparation we can surprise and thrill ourselves with our ability to master challenges. Her dynamic presentations receive rave reviews and have motivated thousands to review, re-evaluate and re-invigorate their business and their personal life
