About Michelle
Michelle Cowan became Australia’s first female WAFL assistant coach at just 21 years of age, providing guidance and strategy for the West Perth Falcons.
At 23, she managed 150 staff through a $10.3m leisure centre redevelopment and only two years later was the managing director of her own national company with some of the biggest names in Australian sport.
Michelle became a Mother at 27 and is affectionately known as known as the fifth wiggle. In 2013 Michelle was named as the women’s coach of the Melbourne Football Club.
A gifted and confident speaker with tales of her own home grown success story; the only girl in the locker room to the only Gen-Y in the boardroom, hers is a daring story of unparalleled success against the odds.
Michelle’s presentations are inspirational and compelling, taking the same attitude which made her a trailblazer in football coaching. Michelle speaks of the potential of women in leadership and the importance of living our dreams.
