About Mark
Dual premiership captain and inaugural member of the Adelaide Crows Football Club, Mark Bickley is one of Adelaide’s favourite sons.
Over 272 games he was a reliable midfield contributor and mainstay of the Crows. In 1997 he was made captain and led the club to its first premiership with a win over St Kilda. The following year the club went back to back winning against a heavily favoured North Melbourne side.
Since his retirement in 2003, Mark has forged a successful media career with Channel 9 in Adelaide and Melbourne, covering weekend sports, appearing on the Sunday Footy Show and as part of Triple M’s game day broadcast team. He has also appeared regularly on TV show Postcards as well as radio exposure on 5AA and the Breakfast Show on SAFM.
From 2006 Mark was part of the All-Austraian selection team, a position he held for three years. In 2009 he returned to the Crows to work as assistant coach to Brenton Sanderson. Mark’s football and media success has made him a high profile speaker in South Australia and nationwide.
