As a youngster, Laurence Coy was sports mad. He spent much of his idle time trying to figure out how he could combine playing Aussie Rules for Richmond, Rugby League for the Roosters, and cricket for Australia. A lack of raw talent meant he achieved none of these goals – but not without giving it a red hot go! He played over 300 games of lower grade rugby league both in Australia and England; he played 25 seasons of cricket, and continues to umpire to this day, and after ten games of AFL he couldn’t find a role for a short slow bloke who couldn’t kick, so he focussed on being a spectator.
Where he has found, success is in the performing arts. As an actor on stage he’s worked for all the State Theatre Companies in Australia; he performed in the Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney Festivals; and he’s an accomplished musical theatre performer who’s worked all around Australia and on the West End. His feature film credits include ‘San Andreas’, ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Trader’, ‘Fools Gold’, ‘The Three Stooges’, and ‘Doing Time for Patsy Cline’. On television, he’s appeared in ‘Devils Dust’, ‘Wild Boys’, ‘Rake’, ‘Crownies’, and ‘Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo’.
He co-wrote and directed two series of ‘Tough Nuts – Australia’s Hardest Criminals’ for Foxtel; and ‘The Kangaroo Gang’ for the BBC. He also holds the rights to the iconic Australian play ‘Norm and Ahmed’ which he performs throughout the country to schools and businesses to highlight diversity and inclusion in their organisations. He is also one of Australia’s most accomplished MC’s.
But what a lot of people don’t know is Laurence is also Australia’s most in demand media and presentation skills coach who has partnered with ISG to help celebrities, sports people, professional speakers and corporate Australia’s top performers with their media and presentation skills.
Time to Invest in Yourself – Media and Presentation skills training with Laurence Coy
Perhaps the biggest interpersonal impact you can have in life is the ability to tell your story. The skills required to present to a live audience – ranging in size from one to five hundred people are eminently learnable. So too are camera performance techniques. By learning and practicing a few simple guiding principles you’ll have audiences in the palm of your hand. You’ll be engaging and entertaining and…. you’ll have them leaving the room knowing exactly what you expect them to do. And once these skills are mastered, they’re never forgotten.
To guide you through this journey, we have partnered with Laurence Coy, Australia’s most renowned media and presentation skills coach. Laurence has worked extensively with clients such as Cricket Australia, the NRL, the AFL, the ARU, elite private schools, and a who’s who of corporate Australia helping them design, refine, and develop their interpersonal and presentation skills.

And if the stakes are high enough, Laurence can write it for you, design and build audio visual assets, and coach you through the process.
