About Chris ‘Buddha’ Handy

Better known by his nickname, Chris ‘Buddha’ Handy is a former hooker for the Wallabies, an accountant, publican and media superstar who is beloved by rugby fans and those who enjoy a good yarn.

Chris Handy is a commentator, reporter and an ambassador for the Queensland Reds.  He is perhaps best known for his colourful and patriotic commentary and famous ‘Go You Good Thing!’ line.

A well-built prop forward, Chris Handy played 54 games for Queensland and is one of few Wallabies who have won a Bledisloe Cup twice.

Chris Handy authored Well I’ll be Ruggered and is a regular contributor to rugby and sport magazines.  Chris’ incredible collection of anecdotes has made him a very popular after-dinner speaker.
