A reflection on the late Dean Jones walk from Sydney to Melbourne to raise $1.2 million dollars for BMDI
The NEC Dean Jones Walk for Leukaemia Sydney to Melbourne 2003 for BMDI saw Deano and his wife Jane joined by a host of celebrity walkers and volunteers walk from Sydney to Melbourne over 32 days and raise $1.2 million dollars for the Bone Marrow Donor Institute (aka Fight Cancer Foundation).
Over a 12 month period Rod engineered the entire logistical project from start to finish with sponsors, the VIC and NSW Police, state road authorities and local councils.
