About Graeme
Trained as a lawyer, Graeme Alford is considered Australia’s No. 1 expert on how to “bullyproof” your organisation. As the CEO of Complex Consultancy Services, he provides advice on bullying, cyberbullying and workplace harassment, as well as customer service practices.
Based on his life story (including alcoholism and stints in gaol), Graeme has created a model for teaching people how to get out of their comfort zone and achieve results they did not think possible. He gives audiences the tools for people to step out of their comfort zone and unlock their potential. Graeme is in recovery from his addiction to alcohol and has been abstinent for over 30 years. He attributes his recovery from alcoholism to his permanent connection to the 12 step model of recovery and his acquiring of the tools needed to rebuild his life.
Since his release from gaol in 1986, Graeme has worked as a labourer in a scrap metal yard, re-married, and helped raise in excess of $250 000 for Life Education and served as a Board member for 5 years.
He created the The World Masters of Business, which brought business and political leaders from around the globe to Australia, including General Norman Schwarzkopf, former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev, Lee Iacocca, Dr Stephen Covey and Nelson Mandela.
He was the inaugural President of the Australian Customer Service Association and has authored 3 books – Never Give Up, Inspirational Brainfood and Stop Sucking on Lemons.
