About Bill
Actor, voiceover artist, cricket writer, film director, consultant, general manager – Bill Allert is no stranger to transformation.
After finishing high school in Adelaide, Bill studied acting at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. For more than 20 years, he worked as an actor and voiceover artist in film, theatre and television. He also wrote, directed and produced a number of films, including ‘Yellow’, which won Best Screenplay at Tropfest in 2007.
Bill went back to university in 2010 to study for a Bachelor of Business and a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As well as his roles as general manager at Intersect Coworking and on the board of Brink Productions, he now consults with people and organisations on the art of transformation.
Having moved home to Adelaide after a nine-year stint in Melbourne. “I can feel a growing movement to make this city stand tall and be the place it can be, and I’m determined to do what I can to make this happen,” he says.
Inspired by the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly, Bill wants to show people how they can transform into their trues selves and reach their full potential. Using examples of human metamorphosis from the Beatles to Mandela, he has a simple message, don’t die a caterpillar. To see him in action, take a look at him in action at the Adelaide TED
